Here are two designs for my contents page. I have made two to give me a varied choice whilst making my contents page.
Here is my first deign it has text down the left side and three images on the right side one being the biggest with two secondary images. The biggest image will be the model on the front cover telling the audience where he is in the magazine. I will have the masthead in the top left again however have it smaller this time with the word contents underneath. On the right of the masthead I will have the date thus telling the reader when this copy was published. There is also page numbers on each of the images helping the audience find the right page. At the bottom of the page there is also information about a competition. The writing will have bold titles and have smaller information under them.
Here is my second flat plan, I think this one is worse than the other as it has only one main images rather than three like the other one. This design still has the masthead in the top left corner and the date in the top right. However it has a strip line across the middle telling the audience the main story. I haven't added the page numbers which weaken the flat plan to the other one. I have added bold titles with some information underneath each one.
I believe that I will use the top design to copy as I believe it is better suited to my target audience as it is much better laid out and the text always takes the readers eyes to the images.
