I designed 3 flat plans for my film magazine promoting my horror film trailer 'Remembrance day'. Firstly I drew the flat plans trying to stick to common conventions of a magazine for example having the masthead 1/8 of the page. My research I did into magazine front covers really helped know how to layout my own. After I created my flat plan I wrote below it key areas which I would need to create it. For example what colour I would have the background, the colour of texts and the lighting of the image, etc.
My favourite flat plan that I have designed would have to be the bottom one as it has much more detail on the and looks more like a professional than the others. The front cover would also show more of the main characters than the others showing 3 instead of 1 which gives the audience more infromation about the film. The masthead is the same on all of the flat plans however I will most probably change the design and the name as it could be improved. I will design my magazine on Photoshop as it supplies the tools I will need to edit my images, text and other common conventions.

Proficient work on flat plans/drafts.
