Here are my original images for my film poster. Firstly I designed flat plans for my poster, I designed three so I had a choice out of what one to create. I choose the one with a poppy with half a petal pulled off of it, this connotes to the title of remembrance day. I created these images below by getting a poppy pulling half of a leaf off and have a piece of card behind it. I had a light beside the piece of card to get a shadow effect behind it.
Here is an image of the poppy on a light piece of card, its an alright image as it has the effect of the dropped shadow behind it however I believe the poppy itself is too dark. I tried taking the next image from a different angle to get the shadow effect still but have a more red colour effect. This again didn't work, the shadow is still there but the red doesn't stand out enough.
I decided to change the background colour so that the red may stand out more. The colour in this photo stood out too much as the red looks very shinny. The shadow effect is still there again which works well.
This image I decided to change my idea instead of having just one petal pulled off, I decided to pull off 3 parts of the petals and squash them into destroyed petals. This makes it look like the killer hates remembrance day. The red unlike the other images stands out more however the shadow effect isn't very affective.
This image is my favourite and I will be using it for my film poster, I have decided to use it as the light isn't to over powering however still has enough light for the red to stand out more than the background colour. The shadow is still there which again makes it stand out from the background. When I make my poster I will remove the background colour and put it on a black background as it represents horror. I will most probably use gold writing like my style model of I am legend.
Proficient work on images, good presentation skills and good time management.
